I had a dream about a crocodile.
The croc followed me around like it was my pet. I wasn’t afraid of it. In fact, at one point I think I walked it on a leash.
I woke up the next morning, grabbed my giant book of dreams, and it read that I am getting more comfortable in my own skin. Being calm in the presence of such a thick skinned and scary reptile revealed that.
Thus inspired the Dragon’s Tail. The dragon is, of course, often the character that gets slain in the books. It is often the enemy, the protector of something once stolen. It is like the vault, before their were vaults. Just put a dragon in the room of what your protecting, and boom — you have a security system.
That is what these earrings are all about. You being comfortable in what you wear, how you wear it, and how you feel when you’re in it.
Have you ever felt like a phony because you tried something new?
I know I have. I have worn heels that I had no right to wear, hair styles that I had no clue how to work, and make-up that looked like a clowns hat. Yes — a clown’s hat.
But the reason none of my fashion blunders were a success is not because they were blunders, but because I was not comfortable in them.
That’s why the Dragon’s Tail is the most important piece in the Fairy Tale Junkie Collection. It is all about finding comfort in your own skin and not being afraid to go bold, but to own it.
